Starflight: Character Profile

According to the votes, Starflight is the favourite among the dragonets. And as promised, I am doing a whole post focused on him. This funny (yet irritating) scroll-loving dragon is an interesting character to write about and seems easy to relate to in many ways.

Starflight is a unique dragonet, and I have to admit I'm surprised he is the most popular. Most of his fellow friends would describe him as annoying and boring; however Sunny, another of the Dragonets of Destiny, doesn't judge or dislike anyone. Perhaps this is why Starflight seems to have some strong feelings about her. He is a huge scroll-worm, and feels his safest in the library. He is downcast about how he can't read minds and tell the future. This cautious dragonet is constantly paranoid of the smallest danger to him and his friends. Here is an exemplary scene from Book 2 of Starflight:

Starflight: Shouldn't we stay under the trees? What if a patrol spots us? I mean -  *Takes a deep breath*  We must stay under the trees. All right. Yes. Everyone back into the trees right now.

Everyone: *ignores him*

Sunny: *gives Starflight a pitying glance*

This extract from the book shows a lot of Starflight’s personality.
